Who We Are
The Society for Health and Education (SHE), together with Royal Academy of Manipur (RAM), is a registered non-profit organization based in Pangei Bazar, Imphal East, Manipur. Established with a deep commitment to community welfare, we work to advance health, education, livelihood, and environmental sustainability. Our organization believes that the foundation of a progressive society lies in empowering its most vulnerable sections through access to knowledge, skills, and opportunity.
Our History
Founded in response to the growing need for integrated development in rural and semi-urban areas, SHE began its journey by promoting health education, environmental awareness, and mass literacy. Over time, we expanded our activities to include skill development, women and child welfare, sustainable agriculture, and relief services during crises like COVID-19. Our legacy is one of collaboration with government agencies, sector skill councils, and local communities to bring meaningful change at the grassroots level.
Our Impact
🌱 5,000+ saplings planted through plantation and agroforestry initiatives.
🏥 1,000+ beneficiaries served through free medical camps, women & child health programs.
💻 60+ youth certified in various skill development programs under national Sector Skill Councils.
👩🌾 100+ farmers trained in organic horticulture and modern agricultural techniques.
🍲 500+ families supported with relief aid during COVID-19.
🔥 200+ BPL families provided with clean cooking fuel under PMUY.
🧵 300+ weavers supported through SAMARTH and Yarn Card programs.
🚭 800+ community members sensitized through tobacco and drug awareness drives.

📍 Partnered with Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA), Manipur State Skill Development Society (MSSDS), Weavers Service Center (WSC), and various Sector Skill Councils.
📍 Programs delivered in villages like Ishika, Nepali Village, Waiton, Yumnam Khunou, and other rural communities under Khundrakpam Assembly Constituency.
